SALARY: $37,781.43 - $48,653.95/yr. (Salary based on qualifying classification)
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Worker's main responsibility will be to monitor the majority of the Family Care Homes in the county and one Adult Care Home in the county. Worker will be responsible for complaint investigations in the assigned the facilities. Worker will be in rotation for Adult Protective Services (APS) intake. Worker will also be responsible for a guardianship caseload for incompetent adults. Worker is responsible for the on-going work with the clients and for providing the Director with information about the client and the client's circumstances for decision-making. Worker will be responsible for a full range of intake services duties, Sliding Scale Fees, Outreach/Service Inquiries and various other intake needs which arise periodically (Homelessness, Parish Referrals, Unclaimed Bodies, etc.). Worker will be responsible for participating in the after-hours intake and response system and Shelter duties as needed. Other social work duties may be assigned as needed by the agency.
MIMINUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and two years of social work experience; other combinations of a bachelor's degree in a human services curriculum and work experience considered. Must have a valid Driver's License and the ability to speak Spanish highly desirable. May consider applicants who do not meet full qualifications; such applicants would begin work at one of the other social work classes listed above based on education and experience with salary commensurate with classification.
